Oppo reportedly developing wide-screen ‘Find X10 Pro mini’
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Technology leaker Digital Chat Station (DCS) has reported that Oppo is developing a wide-screen phone with a candybar design.
According to a Gizmochina report on Monday, DCS did not name the wide-screen phone being developed by Oppo.
However, it could be part of the X10 series, which already includes the Find X10E, Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max.
DCS said Oppo’s wide-screen phone would most likely be positioned as a Pro model and named the “Find X10 Pro mini”, given its different size and form.
The device’s technical prototype is reportedly being tested with a high-end MediaTek chip.
MediaTek’s latest chip is currently the Dimensity 9600 Pro, which also powers the X10 and X10 Pro Max models.
The phone under testing is said to have two 200-megapixel cameras, one of which is a periscope telephoto lens.
The Oppo “Find X10 Pro mini” could be launched in China in the first quarter of 2027, at the same time as the Oppo Find N7 foldable phone.
The development of wide-screen smartphones appears to be a trend following Huawei’s release of the Pura X View. Honor is also reportedly developing a wide-screen candybar phone.
