Oppo launches flagship Pad 6 tablet with Dimensity 9500s chip and AI features
Oppo has officially launched its latest flagship tablet, the Oppo Pad 6, alongside the new mid-range Reno 16 series smartphone. The Oppo Pad 6 succeeds the Oppo Pad 5, which debuted in April 2025.
Compared to its predecessor, the Pad 6 features several upgrades, including a newer chipset and various AI-powered capabilities. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset with a CPU clock speed of up to 3.73 GHz, the chip is newer as it was released in early 2026, compared to the Dimensity 9400 Plus in the Pad 5, which debuted in April 2025.
The Pad 6 also includes various AI features, such as real-time voice transcription, automatic note summarisation, and handwriting enhancement tools. It is also available in a Soft Light Edition variant with nano-etching technology, claimed to reduce glare by up to 97 per cent. A paper-like colour mode is also available, designed for comfortable extended reading sessions.
As mentioned, the tablet is powered by the Dimensity 9500s chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage up to 512GB. This combination is claimed to enable simultaneous 3K video recording and gaming at up to 144fps.
The Pad 6 features a 10,420mAh battery, which Oppo claims can last up to 56 days in standby mode. It supports 67W fast charging, with Oppo stating the battery remains in optimal condition for up to four years of use.
The Pad 6 is 5.99mm thick and weighs approximately 577 grams. It features an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls. It also supports Circle to Search, allowing users to circle objects or questions on screen for relevant information and answers. The tablet supports Wi-Fi 7 and six speakers, but lacks a SIM card slot and fingerprint scanner.
