OPPO, the gadget vendor, officially launched its latest budget wireless earbuds, the Enco Air 5, on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, in China. The true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones are positioned as an entry-level model but come with active noise cancellation (ANC) and long battery life. The ANC is claimed to reach up to 52 dB with a frequency coverage of 5,000 Hz, up from the Enco Air 4’s 32 dB, and is said to more effectively mute ambient noise around the user.

In addition, total endurance is claimed at up to 54 hours, up from the predecessor’s 43 hours. The Enco Air 5 also offers other features: a 10-band custom EQ for personalised audio, and support for AAC and SBC codecs. It also includes spatial audio and game-specific sound effects to enhance gaming and video watching experiences. The earphones are equipped with three microphones to support phone calls, and Oppo claims sound quality remains clear even in windy conditions at speeds up to 25 km/h.

In terms of power, the Enco Air 5 is claimed to last up to 13 hours on a single charge. When combined with the charging case, total battery life reaches 54 hours. It supports fast charging: 10 minutes of charging is claimed to provide up to four hours of use. The device has an IP55 rating for dust and water splashes, making it suitable for sports or light rain. Each earbud weighs 4.3 grams, while the charging case weighs around 43.5 grams. The Enco Air 5 supports Bluetooth 6.1 and dual-device connection, enabling seamless switching between two devices such as a smartphone and a tablet. Oppo also introduces a low-latency mode of 47 ms aimed at gaming and video playback to improve audio synchronisation. Other features include remote camera control from the earbuds, customisable touch controls, and an AI-powered translator supporting 24 languages.

It is not yet known whether the Enco Air 5 will be marketed globally, including in Indonesia. However, given that the Enco Air 4 was released in Indonesia, its successor could land soon. We will await developments.
