Oppo A6s Officially Launched in Indonesia, Water-Resistant Phone Priced at About Rp5 Million
KOMPAS.com - Oppo has officially launched its latest smartphone in the A Series in Indonesia, namely the Oppo A6s, on Friday (6 March 2026). The device arrives with a number of standout features, including an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance, a 7,000 mAh battery, and a 50 MP main camera. Thanks to the water-resistance certificate, Oppo claims the phone can be used for underwater photography, where users can take photos and videos underwater safely. Oppo also claims that the IP69 certification on the Oppo A6s makes the device suitable for use in a variety of conditions, including rain, in pools, outdoor areas, or other extreme activities. The frame is made from a metallic material which is claimed to be comfortable to grip and give a premium feel. The Oppo A6s features a 6.75-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution (1570 x 720 pixels) and a 120 Hz refresh rate, with a peak brightness of up to 1,125 nits. The screen is supported by optimised touch chip algorithms, Splash Touch, and Glove Touch, enabling smooth touch input even when wet, oily, or used with gloves. At the top centre of the screen is a punch-hole design that houses the 16 MP front camera (f/2.4). This camera can be used for selfies or video calls. On the rear, the Oppo A6s is equipped with a 50 MP main camera paired with a second camera, a 2 MP monochrome camera. This lens helps detect depth of field to produce a bokeh effect in photos. To improve photos taken with the Oppo A6s, Oppo also includes a number of AI-based features (AI). In addition, there is AI Perfect Shot, which can enhance photos by correcting facial expressions or certain details, such as closed eyes or unclear smiles. All of these AI features are available thanks to the ColorOS 15 operating system that runs on the Oppo A6s. This OS also provides a range of optimisation features to keep device performance stable.
