Operations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Remain Normal Despite Seven Flight Cancellations
JAKARTA – Flight operations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta) have continued to run normally despite seven flights to the Middle East being cancelled on Sunday, 1 March 2026, due to airspace closures (airspace closed) across multiple countries in that region.
“Overall, flight operations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, particularly for international routes, continue to proceed safely, in an orderly fashion, and smoothly in accordance with applicable operational procedures,” stated Aziz Fahmi Harahap, Acting Deputy Assistant for Communication and Legal Affairs at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, in a written statement on Sunday.
The airport has also conducted intensive coordination with airlines and relevant authorities to anticipate various operational dynamics. This measure was taken to ensure standards for safety, security and service provision remain safeguarded.
The seven outbound flights to the Middle East that were cancelled are:
Etihad Airways EY472 to Abu Dhabi
Qatar Airways QR954 to Doha
Qatar Airways QR957 to Doha
Emirates EK357 to Dubai
Etihad Airways EY475 to Abu Dhabi
Garuda Indonesia GA900 to Doha

The cancellations were made following airspace closures across multiple areas in the Middle East.
