Operational Assistance for Islamic Schools Targeted for Disbursement Before Eid al-Fitr
The Minister of Religious Affairs, Nasaruddin Umar, stated that the disbursement of the BOP RA (Early Childhood Islamic Education Operational Assistance) and BOS Madrasah (Madrasah Operational Assistance) is not merely a routine agenda, but rather part of a strategy to maintain the operational stability of Islamic educational institutions during this crucial period leading up to the Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
“Our target is clear: the funds must be disbursed before Eid al-Fitr. The activities of these institutions must not be disrupted. President Prabowo pays close attention to teachers and education,” said the Minister in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The Director-General of Islamic Education, Amien Suyitno, explained that this year the government is changing the pattern of distributing the BOP RA and BOS Madrasah budgets. Previously, the funds were disbursed quarterly, but starting in 2026, the mechanism will be streamlined into two stages per year, based on semesters.
According to Suyitno, this new scheme is designed to be more adaptable to the real needs of madrasahs and RA, while also simplifying the administrative process. However, this acceleration also requires high discipline from all stakeholders, from the operators of the institutions to the regional offices.
“With this new scheme, data synchronisation and timely submission are very important to avoid technical obstacles that could lead to delays in disbursement,” said Suyitno.
The Director of Curriculum, Facilities, Institutions and Student Affairs (KSKK) for Madrasahs, Nyayu Khodijah, confirmed that the entire process of disbursing the BOP RA and BOS Madrasah funds for 2026 will be carried out digitally through the official portal of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
According to her, digitalisation is not just a formality, but an effort to accelerate verification and minimise the potential for administrative errors.
In line with this, there are two stages that RA and Madrasah administrators must pay attention to. First, the submission of documents will begin on 22 February and end on 3 March 2026. Second, the verification of documents will take place from 22 February to 4 March 2026.
Nyayu Khodijah reminded that even the smallest oversight in uploading documents can have a direct impact on the disbursement schedule.
“Make sure all documents are complete and uploaded on time. Do not let administrative delays hinder the rights of the institutions,” she said.
