Operation True Promise 4: IRGC Attacks US Bases and Israeli Infrastructure

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the launch of the 23rd wave of Operation True Promise 4, involving a coordinated drone and missile assault on several United States military targets in the Middle East and on strategic facilities in Israel. In a statement, the IRGC said the latest phase of the operation employs new generation missiles, including both solid- and liquid-fuelled types, designed to strike high-value strategic targets with precision. According to the IRGC’s Public Relations Office, the strikes targeted a number of US military installations in the Middle East. The targets include the headquarters of US forces at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, Juffair Naval Base in Bahrain, Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait, and Al Azraq Air Base in Jordan. The IRGC described these facilities as front-line bases of US terrorist forces, emphasising that the strikes demonstrate Iran’s ability to reach the American military presence in the region. In addition to US installations, the wave of attacks was also reported to have hit several strategically important sites within Israeli territory. The IRGC said the strikes occurred in the Be’er Sheva area, described as one of Israel’s important technology hubs. That region, according to the IRGC, hosts advanced technology centres, cyber security facilities, and infrastructure supporting military activity. The attacks are described as evidence of Iran’s ability to reach strategic areas deep inside Israeli territory. The latest escalation is described as a continuation of earlier phases that also involved advanced weaponry, including Khorramshahr-4, Kheibar, and Fattah missiles. The IRGC assessed that the previous wave’s strikes had rebutted claims that Iran’s military capability was waning. They stated that those attacks were launched from a continuous chain of missile bases owned by Iran. Operation True Promise 4, according to the IRGC, is a response to what they describe as US and Israeli aggression against Iranian territory in recent days. The retaliatory strikes were also reported to target urban areas in Tel Aviv and al-Quds (Jerusalem), as well as US naval assets, including the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and several US destroyers operating in the Indian Ocean. The IRGC stressed that the operation is a defensive measure to prevent further attacks on Iran. They emphasised their commitment to continuing to respond to those they deem aggressors. The IRGC also described the operation as evidence of Iran’s missile and drone weaponry capabilities amid rising tensions and conflict in the Middle East.
