Operating Hours and Headway for Transjabodetabek Blok M–Soekarno-Hatta Airport Route

Jakarta, 12 March 2026 – The Jakarta Provincial Government has officially launched the Transjabodetabek bus service on the Blok M to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta) route as of Thursday, 12 March 2026.

The service operates from 05:00 to 22:00 WIB. “The headway (waiting time between buses) is between 10 and 20 minutes, with 14 buses in the fleet,” said Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung during the launch ceremony at Blok M Terminal in South Jakarta on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

With this fleet size, the service is estimated to accommodate approximately 1,900–2,000 passengers per day. According to Pramono, this route offers an alternative transport option for the public travelling to or from Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

The Jakarta Provincial Government has set the fare at IDR 3,500 during the first three months, particularly to accommodate the Lebaran exodus season in 2026. “After that, we will conduct an evaluation,” said Pramono.

Following the evaluation period, fares are likely to be adjusted to a range of IDR 10,000–15,000.

The route features 23 bus stops distributed across Jakarta and the airport area. “The route length is 65.1 kilometres, with 14 buses in the fleet, with 13 bus stops in Jakarta and 10 bus stops outside Jakarta,” said Ujang.

The buses used are Metrotrans vehicles with low-entry floor design and equipped with luggage racks for passengers’ suitcases.
