Opensignal: Telkomsel Leads Across 11 Network Metrics
Telkomsel has reinforced its position as Indonesia’s leading digital telecommunications service provider by winning 11 awards based on an analysis of real-world experience from millions of mobile users conducted by Opensignal.
The announcement was made during the Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona on Tuesday, 10 March 2026. The analysis results demonstrate Telkomsel’s superiority across various critical aspects of network experience, ranging from download and upload speeds, video and gaming quality, network coverage and availability, to consistency of service quality across Indonesia on 2G, 4G, and 5G networks.
These advantages deliver tangible benefits to customers in their daily lives. Telkomsel leads the Download Speed Experience and Upload Speed Experience metrics, including on 5G networks, enabling customers to enjoy faster data download and upload processes and more responsive connections.
Additionally, Telkomsel also excels in the Consistent Quality metric, which reflects network stability for various digital activities such as video streaming and online gaming. In the video experience category, Telkomsel achieved the highest score in Video Experience and 5G Video Experience, as well as a joint victory in the 5G Games Experience category.
From a coverage perspective, Telkomsel also leads in the Coverage Experience and 5G Coverage Experience metrics and won an award in the 5G Availability category. This demonstrates that Telkomsel’s network has wide coverage and increasingly developed 5G connectivity across various regions of Indonesia.
Wong Soon Nam, Telkomsel’s Director of Planning & Transformation, expressed appreciation for customers’ continued trust in Telkomsel’s services.
“Telkomsel thanks our customers for their trust. This achievement continually motivates us to perform better each day, by delivering a faster, more stable network that provides comfort in every important moment of life,” he said.
According to him, Telkomsel will continue to strengthen its network infrastructure whilst adopting the latest technology to make customers’ digital experience increasingly personal and seamless.
In Opensignal’s analysis across 10 regions in Indonesia, Telkomsel is also reported to have network quality that is evenly distributed across various areas. The operator recorded 58 solo victories and 30 joint victories with other operators across numerous mobile user experience metrics.
Nine regions demonstrated Telkomsel’s superiority in the Download Speed Experience metric, whilst seven regions confirmed its leadership in the Consistent Quality category.
The Opensignal report itself is a global independent standard that analyses real-world experience of mobile network users. The Indonesia Mobile Network Experience Report, December 2025 edition, used measurement data from the period 1 August to 29 October 2025 and evaluated operator performance in the categories of Overall Experience, 5G Experience, Coverage, and Consistency.
These analysis results further affirm Telkomsel’s commitment to delivering fast, stable, and nationwide digital connectivity for the Indonesian people across various regions.
