Muhammad Mardiono, Chairman of the Prosperous Justice Party (PPP) Central Board, officially opened the Musyawarah Wilayah (Muswil) of the West Kalimantan Regional Leadership Council (DPW). The Muswil forms part of a series of national party consolidation ahead of the verification phase and preparation for the 2029 elections.

“God willing, national consolidation will be completed soon. This represents an initial step towards verification, which will be carried out in early 2027,” stated Mardiono on Saturday (28 February 2026).

Mardiono also reported that PPP is accelerating the establishment of political agents down to village level, targeted to be fully formed one year before the 2029 elections. With a solid structure extending to the grassroots, PPP is optimistic it can operate more effectively towards electoral victory.

Mardiono emphasised that PPP’s strength at the grassroots level remains intact. Although PPP faced significant national political dynamics during the 2024 elections, the party’s vote share demonstrated that grassroots support remained cohesive.

“Praise be to God, this reflects that our grassroots strength remains solid,” Mardiono asserted.

Furthermore, Mardiono stressed the importance of aligning the party’s political mission across central, provincial, and district/municipal structures, so that PPP’s political direction proceeds cohesively and mutually reinforces itself.

According to Mardiono, PPP’s political struggle is not merely about pursuing power, but aims to champion public welfare and the interests of the people.

In the context of national political relations, Mardiono reiterated PPP’s historical position of always standing with the government as part of efforts to build the nation.

Mardiono also emphasised the importance of synergy between religious scholars and state officials to ensure all state policies remain within the framework of values and wisdom.

“West Kalimantan will be one of the regions receiving special attention in regional consolidation, both at provincial and district/municipal levels, so we can obtain the people’s mandate to the maximum extent,” he concluded.
