Acting Secretary General of the MPR RI, Siti Fauziah, emphasised that the participants in the 2026 Four Pillars MPR RI Smart Competition (LCC) are the nation’s future leaders in 15-20 years’ time. She made this statement while opening the Lampung provincial level selection at the Radisson Lampung Kedaton Hotel on Saturday (18/4). The selection is attended by nine top schools selected from 107 schools across Lampung’s regencies and cities. Also present was the Head of the Lampung Provincial Education and Culture Office, Thomas Amirico, along with MPR RI General Secretariat staff. Opening with the greeting ‘Tabik Pun’, Siti Fauziah described the motto ‘Sai Bumi Ruwa Jurai’ as a reflection of Lampung’s supportive and solid spirit in organising the LCC. She stressed the importance of maintaining sportsmanship amid competition. She urged the participants to preserve unity and friendship despite the rivalry, and not to belittle one another, as they all represent Lampung together. “I also thank the Lampung Provincial Education and Culture Office and its staff for their support and cooperation in building a character-filled young generation,” said Siti Fauziah in her statement on Saturday (18/4/2026). As the first woman to serve as MPR RI Secretary General, she also encouraged the participants to show their best abilities, as they will lead the nation in the future. “Because these young ones, in 15-20 years, will be the leaders of this nation. Right? Who wants to be President? Minister? MPR member? Many, right? So I say to all of you, good luck competing! Show your best abilities,” said Siti Fauziah, who also has Lampung roots. Meanwhile, Lampung Provincial Education and Culture Office Head Thomas Amirico affirmed that this event is not merely a competition but a strategy to strengthen the nationalism of the young generation. “This is not just a competition, but how our children can feel love for the homeland, organisation, and how in the future we encourage our children with spirit, heart, and pride to maintain national life,” he stated. Thomas described the Four Pillars LCC as a strategic national education movement to instil the values of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, NKRI, and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika in the young generation, while also preparing for Indonesia’s Golden 2045. “This competition is not just about winning, but realising a young generation that understands their rights and obligations as citizens. I hope through this event, the best students emerge as national role models, inspiring their peers, and becoming the pride of the region towards progress, towards Indonesia’s Golden 2045,” he concluded. A day before the competition, all participants attended a technical meeting covering explanations of the Four Pillars MPR RI material, competition technical details, and participant draw. The nine competing schools are SMAN 2 Kotabumi, SMK Negeri 1 Metro, SMA Hang Tuah, SMAS AL Kautsar, SMA Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung, SMAN 12 Bandar Lampung, SMAN 1 Gadingrejo, SMA Negeri 1 Bangunrejo, and SMAN 01 Tumijajar. The winners from Lampung will next represent the province at the national level.
