General Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) called on his cadres in Central Java to seize victory in all political contests, especially the 2029 elections. AHY delivered this message in a speech at the fourth Regional Congress (Musda) of the Democratic Party of Central Java Province, held at the Tentrem Hotel in Semarang City on Friday night (17/4/2026).

AHY stated that he had set the main theme for the fourth Musda of the Democratic Party as “Democratic Consolidation: Close Ranks, Build Strength, and Seize Victory”. He reminded attendees that Central Java is a strategic province.

“Central Java is a large province with very significant value politically, economically, and socially. Thirty-five regencies and cities, tens of millions of constituents that we must fight for, both to improve community welfare family by family and to boost overall economic growth,” said AHY, who delivered his speech virtually.

According to him, hard work is needed to achieve all of this. “Therefore, close our ranks,” AHY stated.

He also asked Democratic Party cadres in Central Java to build strength. “Central Java is special; we know what its politics has been like from the start. We also know its dynamics today. Don’t be afraid, don’t feel there is no room for the Democratic Party,” he said.

AHY urged his cadres to build management down to the grassroots level. “Ensure that in villages, sub-districts, even the grassroots communities know that the Democratic Party remains active and continues to fight for public aspirations,” he said.

He stated that the ultimate goal of all these efforts is victory. “In the end, we want success. The most measurable indicator is how we can increase our seats in the RI DPR, provincial DPRD, and regency/city DPRD,” AHY said.

According to AHY, the Democratic Party has shown several improvements in Central Java. However, he asked his cadres not to become complacent too quickly. “The most important thing is how we can achieve our political targets in the coming periods, especially in the 2029 elections or other political contests, including provincial, regency/city DPRD elections, and regional head elections,” he said.

The fourth Musda of the Democratic Party of Central Java Province was attended by several figures, including the Democratic Party General Secretary Herman Khaeron and Central Java DPD Chairman Rinto Subekti.
