Opening Access to Affordable Housing, Danantara Housing Expo 2026 Attracts 10,000 Visitors on First Day

Efforts to expand public access to affordable housing continue to be driven through the Danantara Housing Expo 2026. The CEO of Danantara, who also serves as the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM, Rosan P. Roeslani, stated that the exhibition serves as a platform connecting the public with various housing options from different developers, while simultaneously providing access to more affordable financing.

“As we can see from this morning’s event, the prices vary, ranging from Rp120 million to the highest levels of Rp2 or 3 billion,” said Rosan during the opening of the Danantara Housing Expo 2026 on Thursday (27/08/2026).

The event has reportedly attracted approximately 10,000 visitors on its first day. The housing exhibition officially opened at the Nusantara International Convention and Exhibition (NICE), PIK 2.

The event has received a positive response from millennials. Khairul Anam, Chairman of the United Muslim Millennials (MMB), noted that the high level of enthusiasm demonstrates that the demand for affordable housing remains very high, particularly among the younger generation.

According to Anam, the Danantara Housing Expo provides new hope for millennials who have long faced challenges regarding house prices, down payments, and housing locations that are often far from economic activity centres.

“For millennials, owning a home is not just about a place to live, but also about future certainty. Therefore, the availability of affordable and strategic housing options is certainly very positive news,” Anam told the media in Jakarta on Saturday (29/08/2026).

He also expressed appreciation to President Prabowo Subianto, who continues to encourage housing provision programmes for the public. In his view, the government’s attention to the housing sector demonstrates that home ownership is a vital part of building community welfare.
