OpenAI introduces ChatGPT Voice feature on Apple CarPlay

Jakarta (ANTARA) - OpenAI has introduced the Voice feature on ChatGPT within Apple CarPlay, allowing users to interact with the chatbot via voice while driving. According to Engadget on Friday local time, this feature can be used by those who have updated to the latest iOS version and ChatGPT app, and possess vehicles compatible with CarPlay. To access it, users simply connect their iPhone to CarPlay, then select the “New voice chat” option in the ChatGPT app. Once the indicator shows that the system is “listening”, users can start the conversation directly. In addition, unlike Siri, ChatGPT Voice does not yet support activation via voice command (wake word). Users must open the app manually through CarPlay to begin or continue conversations. Due to these limitations, OpenAI suggests using the Voice feature for activities such as seeking guidance, exchanging ideas, or practising languages during journeys.
