Open Until Noon, Check Locations for Mobile SIM Services in Jakarta Today
The Metro Jaya Police Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) has deployed mobile driving licence (SIM) extension services at two locations in Jakarta on Sunday (9/8). This service is provided to facilitate members of the public wishing to renew their legal driving documents over the weekend. Based on information from the official @tmcpoldametro Instagram account, the mobile SIM extension booths operate from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. Western Indonesia Time. To access this facility, the public is required to bring several document requirements, including a photocopy of a valid identity card, the original and still-valid old SIM, proof of a health check, and proof of a psychological test via the Simpel Pol application. The mobile SIM service specifically handles the extension of valid A and C class driving licences. For holders of SIMs whose validity period has expired, applicants are required to apply for a new SIM at a Satpas in accordance with police regulations. Regarding the cost of extension, the fees charged refer to Government Regulation (PP) Number 76 of 2020 on Types and Tariffs of Non-Tax State Revenue applicable to the Indonesian National Police. Under this regulation, the extension fee is set at Rp80,000 for a SIM A and Rp75,000 for a SIM C. In addition to these non-tax state revenue tariffs, applicants are also charged additional fees for health checks and psychological tests conducted through the Simpel Pol application.
