Open House at City Hall, Residents Queue Snakes to the Pendopo Courtyard
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung held an open house at the Pendopo of the City Hall Building, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (21/3/2026).
Based on observations by Kompas.com at the location, queues of residents appeared to snake all the way to the City Hall grounds.
Pramono Anung, along with Vice Governor Rano Karno, who were dressed in white koko shirts and black peci caps, personally welcomed the residents. The two shook hands with each visitor one by one while posing for photos together.
After taking photos, the residents were immediately given a parcel containing a boxed meal.
One resident, Imelda (45), came from Cijantung with her group. She said she deliberately attended to exchange greetings and also to convey her hopes to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, particularly regarding infrastructure improvements.
“I hope Jakarta can be tidied up better, especially public facilities like roads,” she said.
She noted that there are still many road conditions that need repair because they pose a danger to users.
“Because there are many bad ones everywhere, that can cause accidents. So, I hope the infrastructure can be fixed,” she stated.
Imelda hopes that through this halal bihalal momentum, residents’ aspirations can be directly heard by the local government.
