HANOI (AFP): The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries
(OPEC) is to give US$14.15 million worth of credit to Vietnam for
public health and electricity projects, press reports said
yesterday.
Accords were signed Monday during a visit by Saleh al-Omair,
president of the OPEC board, and Seyyid Abdulai, director of the
OPEC international development fund.
The money will be used to finance a medical instruments
production centre in Hanoi and improve the electric supply
network in the central province of Quang Nam-Danang.
