Jakarta - Deputy Chairman of the West Java DPRD, Ono Surono, has been implicated in the vortex of the alleged ijon bribery case at the Bekasi Regency administration, which ensnared the inactive Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out a series of searches at two houses owned by Ono Surono in West Java from Wednesday (1/4/2026) to Thursday (2/4/2026).

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the searches at Ono’s residences were conducted in line with suspicions of money flows from the suspect in the Bekasi Regency ijon bribery project case, Sarjan, to Ono.

From the search at Ono’s house in Bandung, the KPK seized several pieces of evidence in the form of cash worth hundreds of millions, documents, and electronic evidence items (BBE).

Meanwhile, the KPK has not disclosed the results of the search at Ono’s house in Indramayu, West Java.

This search took place on Thursday morning.

“After the CCTV was turned off, the investigators are alleged to have intimidated Kang Ono Surono’s wife, and there was pushing and shoving with the legal advisor who tried to protect Ono Surono’s wife,” said Sahali in a written statement received by reporters on Thursday night.

Sahali mentioned that the investigative team also seized Rp 50 million belonging to the family and Rp 200 million belonging to many arisan participants from Ono Surono’s wife.

“Even though the arisan WA Group evidence was shown to the investigators, proving that the arisan money belongs to many people, it was ignored by the investigators,” he said.

Sahali also assessed that the search was an attempt to frame Ono.

“This, for us, is merely an attempt by certain investigators to frame Kang Ono Surono, forcing them to seize items that have no connection whatsoever,” he stated.

In response to Sahali, the KPK spokesperson emphasised that there was no coercion against Ono Surono’s family to ensure the CCTV during the search at his house in Bandung, West Java, on Wednesday.

“We need to emphasise that the CCTV was turned off by the family. Yes, and there was no coercion; it was done voluntarily,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo at the Merah Putih Building, Jakarta, on Thursday night.
