Online Vehicle Registration Renewal for Others Now Available: Here Are the Requirements
Semarang — Annual vehicle registration certificate (STNK) renewals can now be completed online through the SIGNAL application without requiring a visit to the local Samsat office.
This service streamlines the process for citizens, including those wishing to renew STNK registration on behalf of other family members, provided they are listed on the same household card (KK).
By preparing the necessary documents and following the procedures in the SIGNAL application, STNK renewal can be completed more conveniently and quickly.
Required documents for renewing STNK on behalf of another family member include:
Vehicle motor registration number (NRKB)
Vehicle owner’s name
Identity number (NIK)
Electronic ID (e-KTP)
Last five digits of vehicle chassis number
Email address
Once all required documents are prepared, citizens can register on the SIGNAL application to renew STNK on behalf of another family member online.
Registration steps:
Download the SIGNAL application from App Store or Play Store
Open SIGNAL and click “Register here”
Enter personal details including NIK, name as per ID, email, phone number, and password
Upload ID photo according to specifications
Complete facial verification following app instructions
Enter OTP code sent via SMS
Verify by clicking the link sent to email
Once verification is complete, log back into SIGNAL
Click the “Login/Register” menu
Enter the registered phone number and password
Select the required service menu
Steps for renewing annual STNK online through SIGNAL on behalf of another family member:
Open SIGNAL and ensure the account is registered and active
Click the plus (+) button to enter vehicle data
Select the menu to add vehicle document data until a form appears
Enter the vehicle owner’s name in the available field
If the vehicle belongs to a spouse or child on the same household card, select the family option
Enter the NRKB (Vehicle Motor Registration Number)
Enter the last five digits of the vehicle chassis number
Enter the vehicle owner’s NIK
Upload the vehicle owner’s e-KTP photo
Click the “Continue” button
A notification will appear confirming that the document has been added
Confirm the data, including the document delivery address
Select the document receipt option for E-TBPKP, either via post office or self-printed
Click “Continue Processing Payment Notification”
Select “Continue” to generate a payment code
Choose a bank as the payment method
Click “Continue” and follow the displayed payment instructions
Complete payment via bank transfer or visit a bank teller at Mandiri, BRI, BNI, or BTN
After successful payment, documents E-TBPKP and E-Verification (barcode) can be printed through the E-TBPKP and E-Verification menus on the main page if self-printing option was selected
It should be noted that online STNK renewal through SIGNAL applies only to annual renewals.
