Online ride-hailing driver suspected of rampaging and damaging car on JORR goes viral

A suspected online ride-hailing driver has gone viral on social media after sideswiping another vehicle and subsequently damaging it on the JORR Pondok Pinang toll road. According to reports, the incident occurred on Tuesday evening (26 May) when the driver of a Sigra car attempted to overtake from the left, failed, then overtook from the right, causing a sideswipe that dislodged the Sigra’s side mirror. The driver then stopped, got out, and allegedly used a wheel nut key to damage the victim’s car.

Jakarta police’s highway unit head AKBP Reiki Indra confirmed the incident but stated that an investigation is ongoing. “Correct, but the sequence of events is still under investigation,” he said on Thursday (28 May). He added that the victim has not yet filed a police report, and authorities are still identifying the driver responsible for the destruction. “Not yet, still under investigation,” he added.
