A rented house suspected of being used as an online prostitution location was raided in Cibungbulang, Bogor Regency. Police subsequently arrested nine people consisting of four men and five women.

“We detained five women with initials M (23), HI (29), F (30), N (29), and RM (28); as well as four men with initials BS (39), U (50), M (31), and II (32). All were immediately taken to Cibungbulang Police Station for data collection and further investigation,” said Cibungbulang Police Chief Senior Commissioner Iwan Wahyudi to reporters on Sunday (1 March 2026).

Iwan stated that the raid was initially triggered by residents concerned about suspicious activities at the rented house on Friday (27 February) evening. Residents went to the rented premises and caught several people in pairs inside bedrooms.

“Residents were concerned with activities at the rented house, which was strongly suspected of being a venue for immoral conduct through the MiChat application. Patrol members along with Civil Protection Officers immediately went to the location after being informed that residents had begun to gather,” Iwan said.

“We appreciate the residents who promptly reported this and did not take anarchic action. The situation at the scene remained conducive after the suspected perpetrators were evacuated by officers,” he added.

Iwan mentioned that police also sought information from the house owner. Police will coordinate with the Social Services Office for follow-up action on the raid.

“Currently, the nine individuals are undergoing intensive questioning. We will coordinate with relevant parties, including the Social Services Office, for further rehabilitative measures if prostitution practices are proven,” Iwan said.
