Online Halal Certification Fee Payments at Bank Muamalat Soar

PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk has recorded a significant increase in online payments for halal certification fees to the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH). The bank reported a 30.9 percent year-on-year (yoy) growth in transaction value as of June 2026.

Bank Muamalat Director Ricky Rikardo Mulyadi stated that the company also saw a 49.1 percent yoy increase in the number of transactions during the same period. He noted that the ease of making online certification fee payments supports the company’s efforts to advance the halal industry in the country.

“Digital advancements in the country are an advantage for the Islamic finance industry. With a digital approach, halal product certification is expected to be developed as a transaction gateway, from payments to financing and integrated sharia fund management,” Ricky said.

The company stated it is continuously enhancing its digital infrastructure capabilities to integrate with the halal ecosystem online. Ricky added that the significant potential of the halal economy requires synergy between institutions, and that improving public literacy and understanding of the halal industry is also necessary.
