Online Gambling Headquarters in Hayam Wuruk Raided: Who Are the Victims?

Jakarta, VIVA – Bareskrim Polri has revealed new facts behind the arrest of 321 foreign nationals involved in an international online gambling case at the Hayam Wuruk building in West Jakarta on Saturday, 9 May 2026.

Dirtipidum Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Pol Wira Satya Triputra, stated that the victims of these online gambling perpetrators are foreigners.

“For the victims, based on our investigation and analysis so far, they are mostly foreign nationals,” said Wira to reporters, quoted on Sunday, 10 May 2026.

This was determined from the roles of perpetrators acting as telemarketers and customer service who sought new customers for online gambling activities.

“Because the telemarketing section, the section blasting from that website, and the customer service section tasked with finding new customers—their victims are mostly from abroad,” Wira explained.

Meanwhile, Wira explained that the perpetrators secured so far are known to act as coordinators for each type of job in the online gambling operation.

In this case, the perpetrators include those operating as customer service, marketing, finance or accounting, and telemarketing. However, Wira emphasised that they will hunt down their superiors.

“Have any or already any bosses above them been secured as part of the enforcement actions taken? So far, we are still focused on examining and deepening investigations into the perpetrators we have captured. But we remain committed to developing the case up to their superiors,” Wira revealed.

“Those we have now are only at the level of coordinators for each type of job or role of these perpetrators,” he added.

It is known that Bareskrim Polri, through the Directorate of General Criminal Acts, secured 321 foreign nationals involved in the international online gambling case at the Hayam Wuruk building in West Jakarta on Saturday, 9 May 2026.

Dirtipidum Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Pol Wira Satya Triputra, revealed that the perpetrators had only been operating for two months.

“How long has the operation or activity of the people there been going on? From the examination results, approximately two months, just two months,” said Wira in Jakarta.
