OnePlus 16 to Feature Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro Chipset

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The OnePlus 16 has appeared in the Geekbench 7 performance testing database, revealing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset as the engine for the new smartphone.

According to GSM Arena, the Geekbench 7 database indicates that the OnePlus 16 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. Qualcomm is preparing two variants of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, namely a regular version and a Pro version.

In Geekbench 7 testing, the OnePlus 16 recorded a score of 3,073 points in single-core testing and 11,093 points in multi-core testing. The tested device was recorded using a Qualcomm chipset with the code QTI SM8975.

Previously, reports regarding the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 suggested that the Pro variant would be a version capable of exceeding speeds of 5GHz. Qualcomm has not yet disclosed all official details regarding both chipsets.

In addition to the processor, Geekbench data shows that the OnePlus 16 utilises the Adreno 850 GPU and 16GB of RAM. The phone is also recorded as running Android 17.

The OnePlus 16 is predicted to launch around October 2026.
