One Year of Regent Rudy Susmanto's Leadership in Bogor: 80.3 Per Cent Public Satisfaction
The administration of Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto and Deputy Regent Ade Ruhandi has received positive appreciation from the public after one year in office, according to a public evaluation survey conducted by political researcher Bawono Kumoro.
The public evaluation of the Bogor District Government’s programme achievements, based on a survey conducted between 6–11 February 2026, showed public satisfaction (approval rating) at 80.3 per cent for the Bogor Regent and 79.3 per cent for the Deputy Regent, exceeding the 50 per cent psychological threshold. This achievement indicates that the public generally views the government’s performance over the past year as relatively good and positive.
According to the data, the Health and Education sectors have become the primary achievements of the Bogor District Government. Healthcare Services Access achieved the highest appreciation level, with 74 per cent of respondents rating government performance as “Good” and “Very Good”. Education Services Access followed in second place with a total positive sentiment of 69 per cent. Beyond basic services, the government’s efforts in Disaster Resilience also received positive responses from 67 per cent of the public, followed by the Active Community Participation programme (Inclusive and Gender Justice) at 62 per cent.
Several strategic programmes remain in the “moderate” zone, where the public views government performance as adequate but requiring significant improvement. These sectors include Equitable Inter-Regional Development (60 per cent combined Good/Very Good); Food Security (59 per cent combined Good/Very Good); Sustainable Environmental Governance (58 per cent combined Good/Very Good); poverty reduction reaching 50 per cent; and unemployment reduction at 39 per cent.
The survey was conducted among 410 respondents selected through multistage random sampling with a margin of error of approximately 4.9 per cent and a confidence level of 95 per cent. Interviews were conducted face-to-face with quality control processes through spot checks on 20 per cent of the sample.
The survey results noted that 64.6 per cent of respondents rated the condition of government implementation in Bogor District as good or very good. Additionally, security conditions also received positive evaluation with 63.6 per cent of respondents stating good or very good.
“From the perspective of the survey results available to us, one year of governance under Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto and Deputy Regent Ade Ruhandi demonstrates very good public appreciation. General conditions are rated as relatively good by the community, although there remain observations regarding the economic aspect that require collective attention,” said Bawono.
According to him, satisfaction figures above 50 per cent represent strong political and social capital to continue government operations over the next four years. “This public trust becomes an important foundation for accelerating achievement of development targets and realising priority programmes more optimally,” he said.
Bawono cautioned that the future challenge is maintaining and enhancing public trust through concrete work, good governance, and clear commitment to public needs. Thus, the positive achievements in this first year are expected to truly serve as a strong foundation for realising more advanced, inclusive, and sustainable development in Bogor District.
