One Year of Danantara: TelkomGroup Distributes 2,500 School Supplies Packages in North Kalimantan
Danantara Indonesia marked one year of its institutional journey through a reflection event held at Wisma Danantara in Jakarta. At this one-year anniversary celebration, TelkomGroup played a role in boosting learning enthusiasm amongst students through the distribution of school supplies organised simultaneously by state-owned enterprises across various regions of Indonesia.
TelkomGroup distributed 2,500 school supplies packages to students in the North Kalimantan region, encompassing Tarakan City, Malinau District, and Nunukan District. The distribution consisted of 1,500 packages in Tarakan City and 500 packages each in Malinau District and Nunukan District.
The distribution activities were implemented through collaboration amongst various entities within TelkomGroup, including Telkomsel, InfraNexia, TelkomAkses, and Telkom Property. This collaboration also supported coordination with schools and ensured that assistance was received directly by students.
Telkom Chief Executive Officer Dian Siswarini stated that TelkomGroup’s participation in this programme forms part of the company’s commitment to continuously creating sustainable social impact for the community. According to her, strengthening the quality of human resources is an important foundation in driving national progress in the future.
“We believe that investment in education and young people will have long-term impacts on national development. Through TelkomGroup’s support for this programme, we hope to open more opportunities and boost enthusiasm amongst young people to grow, learn, and achieve a better future,” Dian said in a statement on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
In its transformation journey, Telkom continues to strengthen the company’s strategic direction through the TLKM 30 strategy, which is also aligned with the Danantara agenda. Focused on strengthening governance discipline, restructuring the business portfolio through streamlining, increasing focus on long-term value creation, and strengthening the strategic holding structure.
Through these measures, Telkom continues to reinforce its role as an enabler of the national digital ecosystem that is globally competitive, whilst promoting sustained contributions to Indonesia’s economy.
Danantara Indonesia’s One-Year Journey
At the one-year anniversary celebration, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto provided direction to all Danantara Indonesia personnel regarding the importance of maintaining integrity, governance discipline, and long-term orientation in managing state assets.
He stressed that Danantara Indonesia was established to ensure professional management of state assets with a long-term orientation for the nation, so as to provide real added value to national development and community welfare.
“We are grateful that Indonesia now has a state investment management institution that can be compared with sovereign wealth funds at the global level. In this one year it is already evident that with good management, disciplined governance, and strong commitment, the performance of state asset management has increased significantly. However, this achievement is only the beginning. Going forward we must continue to strengthen governance and improve performance so that state asset management truly provides maximum benefits for the Indonesian people,” he said.
Meanwhile, Danantara Indonesia CEO Rosan Roeslani stated that the first year of Danantara’s journey focused on building a strong institutional foundation and governance structure. This simultaneously ensured that the direction of state investment management remained grounded in creating long-term benefits for the community.
“State asset management ultimately must provide real impact for the future of the nation. Therefore, commitment to building future generations is also an important part of Danantara Indonesia’s journey,” he said.
Rosan revealed that this commitment is reflected not only in strengthening governance and the structure of state asset management, but also in various initiatives. Through various initiatives, Danantara Indonesia reaffirms that development outcomes must provide real benefits for the community, including for Indonesia’s young people.
Through this one-year milestone, Danantara Indonesia reaffirmed its commitment to continue strengthening governance foundations, improving the quality of state asset management, and encouraging investment that impacts Indonesia’s economy and society.
“This first year is a phase of building foundations. Going forward, our focus is to ensure these foundations are translated into real performance through strong governance, professional state asset management, and strategic investment that benefits the national economy and the future of Indonesian generations,” Rosan concluded.
As information, this one-year celebration was themed “One Danantara.” This theme reflects the spirit of all state-owned enterprises to move in unison in strengthening the foundation of the national economy and creating wider impact for future generations.
To support the future of the nation’s children, the event also involved the symbolic handover of 88,000 school supplies packages for children throughout Indonesia. The programme was implemented simultaneously by state-owned enterprises in various regions as a form of support for educational access and preparation of Indonesia’s Golden Generation.
