One Year of Danantara: Strengthening the Foundation of the National Economy
Danantara Indonesia marked one year of its institutional journey through a reflection gathering held at Wisma Danantara in Jakarta on Tuesday, 11 March 2026. The event was attended by President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, cabinet ministers, and Danantara leadership and staff.
During the occasion, President Prabowo provided guidance on the importance of maintaining integrity, governance discipline, and long-term orientation in managing state assets. According to him, Danantara was established to ensure that state investment management is conducted professionally and oriented towards the long-term interests of the nation.
“We are grateful that Indonesia now has a state investment management institution that can be compared with sovereign wealth funds at the global level. With good management, disciplined governance, and strong commitment, the performance of state asset management can increase significantly,” said the President.
This one-year celebration carried the theme “One Danantara”, which reflects the spirit of all SOEs to move together in strengthening the foundation of the national economy whilst creating wider impact for future generations.
Danantara Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Rosan Roeslani stated that the institution’s first year of operation was focused on building institutional foundations and strengthening governance. According to him, state asset management must be able to provide long-term benefits to society and support the development of future generations.
As a symbol of commitment to the future of the nation’s children, a symbolic handover of 88,000 school supply packages to children across Indonesia was also conducted during this moment. The programme was implemented simultaneously by various SOEs across different regions as support for access to education and preparation for Indonesia’s Golden Generation.
In line with this commitment, PT Telkom Indonesia contributed through various social initiatives focused on strengthening access to education, particularly through the utilisation of digital telecommunications services. In this programme, TelkomGroup distributed 2,500 school supply packages to students in the North Kalimantan region, which includes Tarakan City, Malinau Regency, and Nunukan Regency.
The distribution of aid consisted of 1,500 packages in Tarakan and 500 packages each in Malinau and Nunukan. The distribution of aid was carried out through collaboration among various entities within TelkomGroup, including Telkomsel, InfraNexia, Telkom Akses, and Telkom Property.
Telkom President Director Dian Siswarini stated that TelkomGroup’s participation in the programme is part of the company’s commitment to continue creating sustainable social impact for society.
“We believe that investment in education and young generations will have long-term impact on national development. Through TelkomGroup’s support for this programme, we hope to strengthen the spirit of young generations to grow, learn, and achieve a better future,” said Dian.
In its transformation journey, Telkom also continues to strengthen the company’s strategic direction through the TLKM 30 strategy, which is aligned with the Danantara agenda. This strategy includes strengthening governance discipline, reorganising business portfolios through streamlining processes, and increasing focus on creating long-term value and strengthening strategic holding structure.
Through this one-year milestone, Danantara Indonesia reaffirms its commitment to continue strengthening governance, improving the quality of state asset management, and encouraging strategic investment that delivers long-term economic and social impact for Indonesia.
“This first year is a phase of building foundations. Moving forward, our focus is to ensure that these foundations are translated into real performance through strong governance and strategic investment that benefits the national economy and the future of Indonesian generations,” concluded Rosan.
