Danantara Indonesia’s establishment aims to ensure professional management of state assets with long-term perspectives that deliver positive impacts on the national economy. This was stated by President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto during Danantara Indonesia’s one-year celebration at Wisma Danantara, Jakarta, on Tuesday, 11 March. The event was attended by ministers from the Red and White Cabinet as well as leadership and all personnel of Danantara.

During the occasion, President Prabowo Subianto provided guidance to all Danantara Indonesia personnel regarding the importance of maintaining integrity, disciplined governance, and long-term orientation in managing state assets to strengthen the foundation of national economic development.

“We are grateful that Indonesia now has a state investment management institution that can be compared with sovereign wealth funds at the global level. Within this first year, it is evident that with good management, disciplined governance, and strong commitment, the performance of state asset management has increased significantly. However, this achievement is only the beginning. Going forward, we must continue to strengthen governance and improve performance so that state asset management truly provides the greatest benefit for the Indonesian people,” Prabowo said.

This one-year celebration carried the theme “One Danantara”, which reflects the spirit of all state-owned enterprises moving in one unified step to strengthen the foundation of the national economy and create broader impacts for future generations.

Meanwhile, Danantara Indonesia CEO Rosan Roeslani stated that the first year of Danantara’s journey focused on building strong institutional foundations and governance, whilst ensuring that the direction of state investment management remains rooted in creating long-term benefits for society.

“State asset management ultimately must deliver tangible impacts for the nation’s future. Therefore, commitment to developing future generations is also an important part of Danantara Indonesia’s journey,” Rosan said in a written statement.

He noted that this seriousness is reflected not only in strengthening governance and the structure of state asset management, but also in various initiatives that affirm that development results must provide tangible benefits to society, including Indonesia’s young generation.

“As a symbol of commitment to the future of the nation’s children, on this occasion a symbolic handover of 88,000 school supply packages for children throughout Indonesia was also carried out. This programme was implemented simultaneously by state-owned enterprises in various regions as a form of support for educational access and preparation of Indonesia’s Golden Generation,” he explained.

He explained that through this one-year momentum, Danantara Indonesia continues to strengthen governance foundations, improve the quality of state asset management, and encourage strategic investments that provide long-term economic and social impacts for Indonesia.

“This first year is a phase of building foundations. Going forward, our focus is to ensure these foundations are translated into tangible performance, through strong governance, professional state asset management, and strategic investments that benefit the national economy and the future of Indonesia’s generation,” Rosan said.

As part of the “One Danantara” spirit, Jasa Raharja contributed to the school supplies distribution programme for Indonesian children by channelling 2,000 school supply packages to students in the Gorontalo region.

Director of Institutional Relations at Jasa Raharja, Dewi Aryani Suzana, stated that this support is part of Danantara Indonesia’s initiative to prepare Indonesia’s Golden Generation.

“Today’s children are the generation that will eventually continue the nation’s journey. Through this simple support of school supplies, we hope they can learn with greater enthusiasm and confidence, because Indonesia’s future is built from the dreams and education of its young generation,” Dewi concluded.
