One-way traffic system implemented on Puncak Road towards Jakarta halts vehicles bound for Puncak
Police have implemented a one-way traffic system on Puncak Road in Bogor, West Java, this afternoon. The one-way system is in effect from Puncak towards Jakarta.
At Gadog Junction on Saturday, 30 May 2026, four-wheeled vehicles heading to Puncak were stopped and unable to proceed further. Vehicles are being directed to wait until the one-way system ends and normal two-way traffic resumes. Vehicles coming from Ciawi are being diverted to the Jagorawi Toll Road.
The one-way system is implemented situationally based on traffic volume; it will be lifted once traffic returns to normal.
Traffic Congestion Points
Previously, Inspector Ardian Novianto of Bogor Police Traffic Unit reported several congestion points in the Puncak area in the morning. The first bottleneck occurred at Pasir Muncang Junction.
“This intersection experiences high traffic volume from the toll road, causing a bottleneck due to the junction,” he said.
The second congestion point is at Megamendung Junction. The area is a community activity hub with a narrow road.
“The road is quite narrow there, with significant pedestrian activity and vehicle crossings, leading to lengthy queues,” he added.
The final point is in the Cisarua Market area. Ardian explained that the area serves as a local economic hub, causing queues.
“Cisarua Market is a central economic hub for the local community, resulting in lengthy queues earlier. However, with the current traffic management measures in place, we hope the queues will clear soon,” he concluded.
