One-way traffic engineering on Cipali Toll Road route discontinued

Subang (ANTARA) - Astra Tol Cipali officials and police closed or halted the series of one-way traffic engineering towards Jakarta on the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road on Wednesday evening. Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications Department Head of Astra Tol Cipali, Ardam Rafif Trisilo, stated in Subang, West Java, on Wednesday that the one-way system towards Jakarta from KM 263 (Pejagan-Pemalang Toll) to KM 70 (Jakarta-Cikampek Toll) had been implemented since Monday (23/3). After running for several days, the one-way traffic engineering on the Cipali Toll Road, applied at the discretion of the police, was halted on Wednesday around 5:50 PM WIB. Accordingly, traffic on the Cipali Toll Road has now returned to normal, two-way. Ardam stated that before stopping the one-way traffic engineering, preparatory steps were taken, including sterilisation of the Cirebon-bound lane and rest areas along the Cipali Toll Road. The sterilisation was carried out from 3:30 PM WIB. Meanwhile, for the volume of vehicles passing through the Cipali Toll Road during this Eid return flow, based on data from 00:00 WIB to 17:00 WIB, it was monitored as busy but smooth. Approximately 67,000 vehicles have passed through the Cipali Toll Road towards Jakarta, or 10% lower than the same period the previous day. Astra Tol Cipali urges all road users to always prioritise safety, maintain safe distances between vehicles, and comply with instructions from on-site officers during this traffic normalisation period. Meanwhile, amid the bustle of the Eid return flow, the Cipali Toll Road Manager (Astra Tol Cipali) is educating returnees to sort waste through the “Pilah-Pilih Sampah” campaign at several rest areas during the 2026 Eid outbound flow. According to Ardam, the activity aims to encourage road users to maintain cleanliness on the outbound route while supporting the government’s “Mudik Minim Sampah” programme. “We invite returnees to help keep the outbound route clean in a simple way, by disposing of waste according to its category,” he said.
