One-Way Traffic Engineering Implemented on Several Routes in West Java
Traffic flow in several locations in West Java was busy but smooth on Tuesday (24/3) from morning to afternoon.
In the Lembang tourist area, West Bandung Regency, West Java Transportation Agency officers implemented a one-way system from Bandung to Lembang. Vehicles from Lembang to Bandung were directed to use the Parompong alternative route.
Within Bandung City, vehicle traffic was busy but smooth. Around Gasibu and Gedung Sate, vehicle density began to occur, but it did not cause congestion.
The West Java Transportation Agency also applied one-way from the Puncak and Cianjur directions to Bogor or Jakarta, starting at 12:00 WIB. Vehicles travelled at speeds up to 40 km per hour. For the opposite direction, only two-wheeled vehicles were permitted.
The one-way policy was also implemented on the Garut to Bandung route. Vehicles only travelled at speeds of 20-30 km per hour. In the afternoon, private vehicles of returnees and two-wheeled vehicles dominated the highways.
Busy and smooth traffic conditions also occurred in Karawang Regency. Entering the fourth day of Lebaran, traffic flow was busy but smooth. Movement was dominated by two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles, both for return traffic and tourist flow.
