Police have implemented a one-way traffic engineering system on Jalan Raya Puncak in Bogor, West Java. The one-way system is applied from Puncak towards Jakarta.

“At present, we are restricting vehicles heading upwards, then implementing one-way engineering from Puncak towards Jakarta or one-way downwards,” said KBO Satlantas Polres Bogor Iptu Ardian Novinanto on Saturday (28/3/2026).

Ardian stated that currently, there are more vehicles descending towards Jakarta than ascending to Puncak, leading to congestion at several points.

“This has resulted in slowdowns and queues up to Gunung Mas, with obstructions from Pasar Cisarua,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the one-way system towards Puncak was enforced earlier in the morning. It was implemented to clear vehicles intending to go up.

“Since this morning from 07:00 WIB, the one-way engineering system from Jakarta to Puncak or one-way upwards was enforced. By 10:30 WIB, it had returned to normal two-way traffic,” he clarified.

During the one-way towards Jakarta, four-wheeled or larger vehicles heading to Puncak will be stopped to wait. Vehicles may also be diverted to the Jagorawi Toll Road.

The one-way system is applied situationally based on vehicle volume in Puncak. However, he predicts it will continue until the evening.

“Based on the current vehicle flow, we predict it will return to normal around 17:30 WIB,” he concluded.
