One-Way System to Apply Nationally if Vehicles on Kalikangkung Toll Reach 4,000
JAKARTA - The implementation of a national one-way system on the Trans Java Toll Road will be carried out if the volume of vehicles at Km 414 of the Kalikangkung Toll Gate approaches 4,000 units during the Lebaran return flow in 2026.
Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps, Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho, stated that the policy is situational, following the increase in vehicle flow towards Jakarta.
While monitoring the surge in traffic, the National Police Traffic Corps is currently implementing stage 2 one-way traffic engineering gradually and situationally.
Stage 2 one-way applies from Km 263 of the Pejagan Toll to Km 70 of the Cikampek Main Toll towards Jakarta.
This policy is taken to anticipate the surge in vehicle volume heading to Jakarta from various regions on Java Island, particularly from Greater Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta, to East Java.
The National Police Traffic Corps is also monitoring vehicle movements from other areas, including the return flow from West Java as well as vehicles from Trans Sumatra crossing via Bakauheni-Merak to Cikupa.
