Police have once again implemented traffic engineering on Jalan Raya Puncak in Bogor, West Java. A one-way system from Puncak to Jakarta is in effect this afternoon.

Observations by detikcom at Simpang Gadog on Sunday (22/3/2026) show that four-wheeled vehicles or those with more wheels heading to Puncak are being diverted. Meanwhile, two-wheeled vehicles can still proceed to Puncak via the road shoulder.

Several combined personnel are seen directing traffic around the location. Traffic flow from Puncak towards Jakarta is observed to be busy but smooth.

Four-wheeled vehicles or more arriving from the Ciawi direction are diverted to the Jagorawi Toll Road. Vehicles can also wait until the one-way period ends and traffic to Puncak is reopened.

Peak Tourist Flow

Previously, tourists heading to the Puncak area in Bogor, West Java, began increasing today. The increase is predicted to continue until H+3 of Eid or two days from now.

β€œThe peak tourist flow is predicted to be today, and then we predict another increase in traffic possibly in the next two days,” said Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto.

However, vehicle volume is also expected to rise until the Eid holiday ends. Therefore, they are maximising personnel deployment to ease congestion in the Puncak area.

Wikha stated that vehicle volume in the Puncak area has experienced a significant increase today. By 10:00 WIB, more than 24,000 vehicles had passed through, both ascending and descending, via the Ciawi Toll Gate.
