One-Way System Implemented on the Road to Jakarta During the Long Weekend Holiday in Puncak Bogor

Police implemented a one-way traffic system on the main road leading from Puncak, Bogor, West Java, during the long weekend holiday. The one-way system is in effect from Puncak towards Jakarta.

As observed by detikcom at the Gadog intersection on Saturday (16/5/2026) afternoon, four-wheeled vehicles are temporarily prohibited from passing during the one-way system. Vehicles are stopped or diverted to the Jagorawi toll road.

Meanwhile, two-wheeled vehicles or motorcycles are still allowed to pass towards Puncak, using the side of the road.

The one-way system has been in effect since approximately 12:50 PM. The one-way system is implemented situationally, depending on the volume of vehicles in the Puncak area.

Police had previously recorded an increase in vehicle traffic towards the Puncak area, Bogor, earlier that morning. As of that morning, 11,000 vehicles had entered Puncak via the Jagorawi toll road.

The Head of Traffic at the Bogor Police, Afif Widhi Ananto, said that they implemented a traffic management measure in the form of a one-way system from Jakarta to Puncak earlier that morning to anticipate and alleviate congestion.

“Therefore, today, this morning, we implemented a one-way system from Jakarta to Puncak at 9:00 AM. This is different from the first day of the long weekend, when the one-way system was implemented at 7:00 AM,” Afif told reporters at the location.

However, police noted a decrease in vehicle volume this morning compared to the first day of the long weekend in Puncak, Bogor, West Java. The decrease was 11 percent.

“If we compare it to the first day of the long weekend, Thursday, it decreased by about 11 percent,” he added.
