One-Way System Implemented on National Trans-Java Toll Road: Key Points and Scheme
The Trans-Java Toll Road section heading towards Jakarta has implemented a national one-way traffic engineering system. This policy is applied from KM 459 to KM 70.
“One way is enforced from Salatiga to Cikampek Utara; for information, the one way is from KM 459 to KM 70,” said Jasa Marga officer Pingky on Tuesday (24/3/2026), as reported by www.detik.com.
The extension of the one-way traffic engineering has been in place since Monday (23/3/2026) evening. Currently, two schemes are applied: national one-way and local one-way.
“National one-way from Kalikangkung to Cikampek Utara, then local one-way from Banyumanik to Salatiga,” Pingky stated.
Previously, the Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Polri, Agus Suryonugroho, announced that the national one-way would begin on Tuesday (24/3/2026) at 14:00 WIB. This policy aims to anticipate the spike in return vehicle traffic to Jakarta.
“The priority for high traffic is the national one-way for return flow, to be implemented tomorrow on the 24th at 14:00, with the flag-off directly led by the National Police Chief and several attending ministers,” Agus said on Tuesday (24/3/2026).
Preparations for this traffic engineering were actually underway the previous day. On Monday at 14:00 WIB, the National Police Traffic Corps first implemented a partial national one-way from KM 263 to KM 70 on the Cikampek Utara Toll Road.
Agus added that the national one-way policy could be extended until March, depending on field traffic conditions. If vehicle volume begins to decrease, the engineering will be evaluated and potentially discontinued.
He also advised the public not to concentrate return trips on specific dates. As vehicle build-ups risk occurring at crucial points, especially around KM 70 towards Jakarta, anticipation is needed to keep traffic flowing smoothly.
