One-Way Scheme in Central Java During Mudik Could Extend to the Boyolali Toll Road
SOLO, KOMPAS.com - The Central Java Regional Police said there is a one-way option extending to the Boyolali Toll Road when the mudik flow reaches a predetermined level. Under normal conditions, the system operates from KM 70 on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to KM 421 on the Semarang-Solo Toll Road (Banyumanik).
The one-way system in Central Java should be noted by all road users, not only those undertaking mudik from Jakarta. The policy will also affect traffic on arterial roads.
People intending to travel in the opposite direction should anticipate this by choosing the best route to avoid getting stuck in traffic.
“From Kalikangkung to Boyolali, a one-way system can be implemented, in accordance with the discretionary authority of the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia and taking into account traffic density indicators,” Aidil told KOMPAS.com on Thursday (5/3/2026).
Earlier, the government through the Ministry of Transportation together with the Ministry of Public Works and Korlantas Polri officially issued a Joint Decree (SKB) concerning traffic regulation and crossings during the Eid al-Fitr mudik and balik periods in 2026.
Here are the locations where the one-way system will be implemented.
Thus, the public should monitor information in real time about the policy to keep mobility smooth and comfortable.
