Cirebon – The one-way traffic engineering towards Jakarta was officially implemented on the Cipali Toll Road section on Monday (22/3/2026) starting at 17:08 WIB. This implementation is part of the local one-way traffic engineering from KM 263 (Pejagan–Pemalang) to KM 70 (Jakarta–Cikampek). Prior to this, preparatory steps such as sterilising the Jakarta-bound lane and rest areas had been carried out since 14:00 WIB.

“The implementation of traffic engineering is situational, following the discretion of the National Traffic Police,” said Ardam Rafif Trisilo, Head of Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications at Astra Tol Cipali.

Ardam noted that based on data from today from 00:00 to 17:00 WIB, traffic flow towards Jakarta was observed to have increased significantly, with conditions being busy but smooth.

Approximately 38,000 vehicles have passed Cikopo towards Jakarta. This number is 101% higher compared to the same period yesterday.

Ardam stated that cumulatively in both directions, the total traffic volume on the Cipali Toll Road section this afternoon was relatively the same as yesterday’s period, namely 2% lower compared to the same period on the previous day.

“We urge all road users to always prioritise safety, maintain a safe distance between vehicles, and comply with instructions from on-site officers during the traffic engineering period,” said Ardam.

Ardam stated that to ensure collective safety, road users are asked not to change lanes and not to use U-turns while the one-way system is in effect. Vehicles are also advised not to stop on the roadside, except in emergencies.

“Road users are advised to rest at the nearest rest area or utilise rest facilities outside the nearest toll gate if parking capacity is full, with the assurance of the same toll fare (accumulated per kilometre),” he said.
