JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has stated that the traffic engineering measure involving one-way local lanes is still being implemented on Sections A, B, and C of the Semarang Toll Road until this afternoon, Thursday (19/3/2026). This policy is being applied at the discretion of the police.

The one-way local arrangement is in place from KM 414 at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate on the Batang–Semarang Toll Road to KM 459 at Salatiga on the Semarang–Solo Toll Road.

This step is taken as a precautionary measure to maintain smooth vehicle flow during the peak mudik travel period.

“Based on the latest field monitoring, traffic is still showing an increase in volume, but vehicle flow remains smooth. For instance, at KM 427+000, the average vehicle speed reaches 74 km/h, indicating that traffic conditions are in the smooth category,” said Faried in his official statement.

The same sentiment was expressed by Ria Marlinda Paallo, VP of Corporate Secretary & Legal at PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol. She noted that the implementation of the one-way local system has had a positive impact on the smoothness of travel for road users.

JTT is also continuously monitoring and evaluating the situation periodically in collaboration with the police to ensure that the traffic engineering runs effectively according to field conditions.

In addition, road users are advised to plan their journeys well, ensure the condition of their vehicles and drivers is optimal, and comply with traffic signs and instructions from officers.

Users are also reminded to utilise rest areas wisely and to rest if feeling tired in order to maintain safety during their travels.
