One Sustains Burns in South Jakarta Mall Coffee Shop Fire

A coffee shop located at Point Square in Cilandak, South Jakarta, caught fire on Monday, 25 May at approximately 19:17 WIB.

“The object is the Aterhour coffee shop on the second floor,” stated the Fire Department Command Center.

Fourteen fire trucks and 54 personnel were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the blaze.

Firefighting operations began at 19:20 WIB, followed by cooling measures at 19:35 WIB. The fire was declared under control at 19:57 WIB.

“The suspected cause of the fire is a gas leak,” the command center said.

The incident caused one coffee shop employee to sustain burns and require medical treatment.

“One employee sustained burns,” they added.
