One Person Killed in Abu Dhabi Following Missile Interception Incident
Dubai — A Pakistani national in Abu Dhabi was killed after being struck by debris from a ballistic missile shot down by United Arab Emirates air defence forces, according to a statement from the emirate’s press office on Tuesday.
“Abu Dhabi authorities responded to an incident involving falling debris in the Baniyas area, after the air defence system intercepted a ballistic missile,” the statement said.
The incident resulted in the death of a Pakistani national, the media office confirmed.
On 28 February, the United States and Israel launched strikes against multiple targets in Iran, including Tehran, resulting in damage and civilian casualties. Iran responded by attacking Israeli territory and US military facilities in the Middle East.
