One-metre flood in Ciledug as Brimob evacuates children and babies

An approximately one-metre-high flood submerged the Duren Villa housing area in Ciledug, Tangerang City, this morning. The Search and Rescue (SAR) Team of Batalyon C Pelopor, Brimob Satuan, Polda Metro Jaya, was deployed to assist residents affected by the flood and to carry out evacuations.

According to documentation received, a number of children and even babies were evacuated from Perumahan Duren Villa. The SAR team evacuated residents using rubber boats in turns.

Brimob personnel swept the flooded area of the housing complex and evacuated residents to safer locations. The commander of Brimob Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol. Henik Maryanto, said some residents had already evacuated to avoid the rising floodwaters.

‘Our personnel are conducting patrols and evacuating residents in the flooded area. This effort is to ensure that those who need assistance can be attended to promptly and evacuated to a safer place,’ Kombes Pol Henik said in a statement on Sunday (8 March 2026).

Brimob Polda Metro Jaya urged the public to remain vigilant for potential secondary inundation and to prioritise the safety of their families. Residents are urged to immediately coordinate with officers if they require evacuation assistance or help in the affected areas.
