One killed in road accident

One person was killed and six others seriously injured when an inter-city bus overturned on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road on Sunday.

The bus plying the Jakarta-Semarang route was overcrowded with passengers, Pos Kota reported.

The deceased has been identified as Kisno Soeharto, 54, from Semarang. His body is being kept at the morgue of the Bekasi general hospital.

The injured are Wahyu Tri Andara, 5, Panut Ismanto, 42, Tanem, 54, Tugino, 32, Siswo, 35, and Suparni, 48.

The bus driver fled the scene and is currently still at large. (bas)
