One killed in fight over woman

JAKARTA (JP): Nali, 38, of Kampung Bali Matraman, Tebet
district, South Jakarta, was hacked to death in a fight over a
woman, police said yesterday.

City Police spokesman Maj. Nyoman Suriasta confirmed the
unemployed man was killed when Zafrizal, 30, took a machete to
his chest at 8:30 a.m. yesterday.

Both men had long been competing to win Hildawati, 28. The
fight took place at the woman's rented house on Jl. Minangkabau
13, Setiabudi district, South Jakarta.

Zafrizal was sleeping in the house that morning when the
victim came and threw a flower pot at him.

The woman who saw the fatal fight called the police. Nali was
taken to the Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital, Central
Jakarta, but died.

Zafrizal is being detained at Setiabudi police precinct. (04)
