One killed at building site

TANGERANG (JP): One construction worker was killed and five
seriously injured Tuesday when a part of a structure collapsed on
their building site, a media report said yesterday.

Witnesses said the accident occurred at the PT Bintang Cikupa
site on Jl. Raya Serang at about 12 p.m. when a pole broke and
part of the structure it supported collapsed.

"Yayat was crushed to death by the concrete pole and other
workers were injured by falling debris of the crumbling
structure," a worker said.

Police said the cause of the accident was under investigation,
Antara reported.
