The Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) for Cirebon Regency, West Java, has confirmed that a local Hajj pilgrim has been permitted to return to Indonesia after undergoing treatment at a hospital in Saudi Arabia. Two other pilgrims are still receiving medical care. Ahmad Khotib Haryanto, Head of the Administrative Subdivision at the Cirebon Kemenhaj Office, stated that the pilgrim, named Darsono, is scheduled to depart from Saudi Arabia today and is expected to arrive at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in the early hours of Friday (17/7/2026). He added that the Cirebon Kemenhaj Office, together with the local Health Service, has prepared to pick up Darsono upon his arrival in Indonesia. According to him, if medical examinations indicate that the pilgrim still requires further treatment, he will be immediately referred to a hospital. Ahmad Khotib explained that Darsono experienced heart problems after completing the Hajj rituals, which necessitated treatment at a hospital in Saudi Arabia and prevented him from returning home with his flight group.
