One Hajj Pilgrim from Cirebon Allowed to Return Home, Two Still Hospitalised in Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) office in Cirebon Regency, West Java, has confirmed that one hajj pilgrim from the area has been permitted to return to Indonesia after undergoing treatment at a hospital in Saudi Arabia, whilst two other pilgrims remain hospitalised.

Ahmad Khotib Haryanto, Head of the Administrative Sub-Division at the Cirebon Regency Kemenhaj office, said the pilgrim, named Darsono, was scheduled to depart from Saudi Arabia today and is expected to arrive at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in the early hours of Friday (17 July 2026).

He said the Cirebon Regency Kemenhaj office, together with the local Health Office, had prepared transport to meet Darsono upon his arrival in Indonesia.

According to him, if the examination results show that the pilgrim’s condition still requires further treatment, he will be referred directly to hospital.

“If his condition later still requires referral to hospital, then he will be referred,” he said on Thursday (16 July 2026).

Ahmad Khotib explained that Darsono had suffered a heart problem after completing the series of hajj rituals, requiring hospital treatment in Saudi Arabia and preventing him from returning with his flight group.
