One dead in ship explosion

MANADO, North Sulawesi: At least one sailor died and six others wounded when a ship, Tanor Permai II, exploded Tuesday while docked at Samudera Bitung harbor.

Antara reported Damu, 56, from Probolinggo, East Jawa, as the only fatality.

Five of the six injured sailors are in intensive care at Budi Mulia hospital. The sixth is being treated at Malalayang hospital.

Police are still investigation the cause of the explosion. (mds)
