One Day Before Deadline, Annual Tax Return Filings Reach 12.6 Million

The Directorate General of Taxation (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance has reported the latest developments in the filing of Annual Income Tax Return Notifications (SPT Tahunan PPh) and the activation of Coretax accounts as of 29 April 2026 at 24:00 WIB.

Director of Dissemination, Services, and Public Relations at DJP, Inge Diana Rismawanti, stated that up to that period, the number of Annual PPh SPTs for the 2025 Tax Year received reached 12,639,279 returns.

“Based on the types of taxpayers submitting SPTs, the majority come from individual taxpayers with a fiscal year of January–December,” said Inge in a written statement on Thursday, 30 April 2026.

The breakdown shows that employee individual taxpayers recorded 10,508,502 SPTs and non-employee individuals 1,383,647 SPTs. Meanwhile, corporate taxpayers reporting in rupiah reached 725,390 SPTs and in US dollars 1,000 SPTs. For the oil and gas sector, filings recorded 7 SPTs in rupiah and 111 in US dollars.

Additionally, taxpayers with differing fiscal years who began reporting from 1 August 2025 recorded corporate taxpayers in rupiah at 20,588 SPTs and in US dollars at 34 SPTs.

In addition to SPT filings, DJP also noted developments in Coretax account activations. Up to the same date, the number of taxpayers who have activated their DJP Coretax accounts reached 18,837,611 accounts.

Of that number, individual taxpayers dominate with 17,662,350 accounts, followed by corporate taxpayers at 1,083,692 accounts, government agency taxpayers at 91,340 accounts, and Electronic System-Based Trading (PMSE) taxpayers at 229 accounts.
