On Tuesday, red cayenne pepper prices exceed Rp165,000/kg, eggs Rp44,100/kg
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The National Strategic Food Price Information Centre (PIHPS), managed by Bank Indonesia, recorded food prices on Tuesday morning at 09:00 WIB, with the commodity of red cayenne pepper reaching Rp165,000 per kilogram (kg), while broiler chicken eggs were at Rp44,100 per kg.
Based on data from PIHPS reported in Jakarta, in addition to red cayenne pepper and chicken eggs, other national retail-level food prices included shallots at Rp72,500 per kg and garlic at Rp59,000 per kg.
Additionally, grade I low-quality rice was priced at Rp15,750 per kg, grade II low-quality rice at Rp15,500 per kg. Meanwhile, grade I medium-quality rice was at Rp18,000 per kg, and grade II medium-quality rice at Rp16,750 per kg.
Furthermore, PIHPS recorded the price of large red chilli at Rp50,000 per kg, curly red chilli at Rp80,000 per kg, and green cayenne pepper at Rp70,000 per kg.
Then, fresh broiler chicken meat was at Rp45,500 per kg, grade I beef at Rp145,000 per kg, and grade II beef at Rp139,950 per kg.
The prices of the following commodities were recorded as premium white sugar at Rp20,250 per kg and local white sugar at Rp20,500 per kg.
Meanwhile, bulk cooking oil was priced at Rp23,000 per litre, branded packaged cooking oil grade I at Rp24,500 per litre, and branded packaged cooking oil grade II at Rp21,500 per litre.
