On the Verge of a Setback with Al Hilal, Inzaghi Linked with a Juventus Return
Simone Inzaghi could return to Serie A and join Juventus if he fails to win the title with Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League. Recently, Inzaghi has been in the spotlight, even though he still has Al Hilal sitting third in the Saudi Pro League table. However, Inzaghi continues to be linked with a return to Serie A and a move to Juventus, who are enduring a difficult patch. Replacing coaches from Igor Tudor to Luciano Spalletti did not make Juventus perform better. Having been among the top four of Serie A, Juventus have now slumped after four winless matches. In addition to competing with AS Roma, the dark horses Como 1907 and Atalanta are also trying to prevent Juventus from European qualification in the 2026-27 season. This situation reportedly has Juventus reconsidering the future of their coach, Luciano Spalletti. Spalletti is said to be out of contract in the summer of 2026, and rumours about his successor have been circulating. According to L’Interista, one name that has emerged is Simone Inzaghi, who has recently been linked with a departure from Al Hilal. Recently, reports have indicated that Al Hilal’s management has begun pressuring Inzaghi. The reason is that to win the Saudi Arabian League, Al Hilal has splashed out substantial funds, particularly to bring Karim Benzema from Al Ittihad. Nevertheless, Inzaghi still has a chance to stay, given that in two Saudi Pro League matches, Al Hilal have defeated Al Shabab and Al Najma. In addition to Simone Inzaghi, Juventus are reported to be attempting to approach their former player, Raffaele Palladino, who has recently been making waves at Atalanta. Moreover, Palladino also has a good track record in Serie A with Fiorentina. Juventus will wait until the end of the Serie A season to decide whether to retain Luciano Spalletti or target one of Raffaele Palladino or Simone Inzaghi to take the head coach position.
